Fly in fly out roster with 9 days on and 5 days off
Located 110 kilometres west of Newman, West Angelas offers a range of fly-in and fly-out rosters. Operational since 2002, West Angelas was the first site to be incorporated into Rio Tinto's Mine of the Future™ project, operating autonomous trucks and autonomous drills. There are recreational options in the village and using the surrounding walking trails.
Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Production, you will be responsible for maximising the profitability of the operation through effective management of mobile production operations in all aspects of Loading and Hauling.
As a Support Superintendent Load and Haul, your responsibilities will include:-
Ensuring safety, production and milestone targets are achieved
Leading, organising, developing and motivating the Mine Operations team across the West Angelas operation to achieve the short term production plan
Contributing to the Health Safety and Environment management plan for the Mine Production team in order to achieve optimal results in health, safety and environment
Developing and leading the Load and Haul teams
Managing and coordinating mine planning activities to ensure tonnage and grade targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to specification
Managing costs in the operation areas and ensuring that cost saving initiatives benefit the operation as a whole.
To be successful in this role, you will hold a tertiary qualification in a mining related discipline along with extensive experience within the mining industry from an operational and technical perspective. Your Western Australia Quarry Manager's unrestricted certificate will be advantageous.
