Carlton United Brewers (CUB) is now part of one of the world's largest brewing groups SABMiller plc. As part of the new SABMiller Quality Standards, an exciting newly created role has come up for a Sensory Program Faciliator. This role will play a critical role in developing and maintaining CUB's sensory capability in evaluating both CUB and competitor products across technical and non-technical functions of the business.
Within this role your accountabilities will include:
• SABMiller Global Taste System (GTS) training program for Technical Services as well as supporting all production sites
• Leading the implementation and continuous improvement of sensory software and systems (FIZZ & NINKASI)
• Supporting the development of Brand Technical Footprints and sensory profiles for all CUB beers and their major competitor products
• Expanding sensory knowledge of cider through foundation training program developed by CUB for the wider SABMiller business
• Facilitating the physio-chemical and sensory evaluation of new and competitor products
This role will support New Product Development and Marketing with innovation and technical expertise, so it is imperative that you are a strong communicator and confident presenting in front of groups within all levels of the organisation (both Technical Services and Marketing).
To be considered for this role you should hold a degree in a Science or Consumer Sensory field, with extensive sensory training experience. Ideally you have come from a similar role within a FMCG or Consumer Marketing field. We are looking for a strong candidate with experience in developing, maintaining/modifying Sensory software for statistical data processing and interpretation.
Initially based in our iconic Abbotsford Brewery (with the potential of moving to our Southbank Head Office), this position is a great opportunity to be part of the CUB Technical Services team and make your mark within the business.
