Job Title: SUPPLY SUPPORT COORDINATOR

Applications are now sought for an experienced Supply Support Coordinator to join our Maritime business unit at Garden Island, New South Wales. Reporting to Integrated Logistics Support Manager you will be responsible for the establishment, placement and management of the appropriate contracting arrangements with capable suppliers to deliver the cost, schedule, quality and safety requirements of the business.
This pivotal position is responsible for;
• Liaising with contractors and other stakeholders for maintenance and material support issues
• Coordinating the provision of material for external maintenance activities
• Validating the configuration status and verifying the procurement data
• Managing the task materiel lists, the purchasing of material arriving from the consolidated task material lists and engineering change proposals
• Liaising with the systems program office personnel in the provision of spares and materiel for the ship availabilities
• Preparing long lead time materiel readiness lists in conjunction with the maintenance planners and availability planners
As the ideal applicant, you will have:
• Substantial procurement and/or supply chain experience
• A degree qualification in an engineering or commercial discipline and a professional procurement qualification
• The ability to form strong working relationships both internally and externally
• Ability to contribute to the resolution of procurement issues, a sound commercial acumen with a proven capability in negotiation
• Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
• The ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer requirements
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
