Job Title: SENIOR TECHNICAL SUPPORT OFFICER
BAE Systems Australia, in partnership with RMIT University and Pennant Training Systems Limited, has developed a leading-edge aviation technical training capability for the Australian Defence Force.
Applications are now sought from motivated and enthusiastic technical support professionals for a role in our Aerospace team in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. Use your hands on experience along with your exceptional customer service skills to provide high level Information Systems support to the Australian Defence Force Aviation Technical Training project.
This is a newly created hands on position providing you the opportunity to contribute to the success of this exciting new project. This pivotal role will see you:
• Lead and successfully complete information systems projects to support the project
• Ensure all project deliverables are fulfilled throughout the projects lifecycle
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors and consultants contributing to the project
• Report on project performance, issues and deliverables
• Ensure that the Information Systems team achieves the required performance in terms of schedule, budget and business requirements
• Identify and manage information systems risks and liabilities, develop cost-effective risk management strategies and implement appropriate mitigation measures
To provide critical support to this diverse project team your expertise will include:
• Information systems support experience coupled with relevant degree qualifications
• Hands on experience in the management and administration of information systems infrastructure and business applications
• Experience in Windows or Unix Server environments and virtual infrastructure technologies
• Exposure to storage infrastructure, backup solutions, business continuity and disaster recovery processes
Whilst not essential, experience with training and learning management applications is desirable.
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
