Corporate Operations Group (COG) provides specialist professional services, human resources, workplace infrastructure, and technology and market operations to Macquarie's businesses. The primary purpose of COG is to support and enhance the value of Macquarie through the creation of an efficient, scalable operating model. This is evident across the activities of each of the divisions.
The Technology division within COG is responsible for the management of Macquarie's technology infrastructure, the support and development of existing business systems and the delivery and deployment of new systems, technologies and services. It comprises business aligned teams which provide dedicated and specialist services to businesses as well as central teams which provide shared services, such as infrastructure, to multiple businesses. The team has an opportunity for a Service Owner - Storage and Backups to join the Infrastructure Delivery Department (IDD) in Sydney. The IDD team develop and support a full array of infrastructure solutions across; voice and data networks, server platforms, operating systems, databases, desktops, storage etc. The success of the team is measured through the availability of reliable services; the delivery of new/enhanced services to facilitate business requirements and the successful balancing of financial expenditures and risk management.
RResponsibilities and Key Activities:
Manages the global Client services with key outcomes or activities that include full accountability:
End-to-end service for those services and products in scope
Ownership of the service lifecycle for creating and improving services
Understanding business requirements and translation into business solutions
Strive for Service profitability
Service demand management
Financial management of the services including recovery modelling (cost versus recoveries)
Management of selective outsourced environments (SLA, governance)
Understand cost levers under the managed service model and educate and drive these with the business
Key Attributes:
Demonstrable experience in operating within and/or establishing a service-oriented shared-service organisation in a large global or regional context
Proven experience in devising and executing technology service roadmaps
Ability to demonstrate experience in having established a vision for technology services and having taken strategic thinking through to practical implementation successfully
Strong financial understanding and significant experience in developing and implementing Service Improvement Plans which have delivered significant cost and/or service improvement benefits.
Proven commercial experience including a track record of having established service delivery agreements with internal and external parties.
Ability to develop collaborative and trustful relationships within a complex, outcome-focused organisation.
Significant experience in influencing people and coordinating, facilitating and motivating senior directors
Strong organisational and people management skills developed in a metrics-based including experience with metrics performance management.
Strong verbal presentation and written communications skills with experience in executive level reporting.
Demonstrates gravitas, presence and adaptability through overcoming diverse demands of customers and ability to overcome conflict and achieve consensus
Ability to recognize the need to respond rapidly when necessary while maintaining a strategic stance
Exhibits technical credibility with both ITG and business stakeholders
