Banking and Financial Services Group (BFS) is the primary relationship manager for Macquarie's retail client base in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and Europe.

Products and services include wealth management, stockbroking and retail lending and banking solutions such as residential and commercial mortgages, investment lending, credit cards and relationship banking to businesses and professionals. Initially this will be a 6 month contract.

Macquarie Private Wealth (MPW), a division of the Banking and Financial Services Group (BFS), is the private client division of Macquarie's retail clients in Australia and New Zealand. Macquarie Private Wealth has built a strong reputation as a pioneering leader in the high-net worth market. MPW is seeking to appoint a Desk Assistant to join the Melbourne team .

Reporting to the Office Manager your key responsibilities are to support Advisers by executing the following;

Taking calls from clients and dealing with administrative matters
Producing client correspondence and maintaining the client database
Account maintenance
Portfolio maintenance - producing portfolio updates and proposed portfolios
Undertaking floats and new issues processes as directed
Assisting Advisers through the execution of a wide range of tasks on a day-to-day basis
Ideally, we are seeking a candidate who has;

Previous experience in a similar role and knowledge / exposure to stockbroking or financial planning
Demonstrated commercial acumen or a genuine interest in financial markets
The ability to self manage with a meticulous attention to detail
Superior time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
Strong client focus with previous experience in client / customer service
Enthusiastic and can do attitude
Well developed written communication skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
