> Job Description:Queensland Alumina Limited is one of the world's largest alumina refineries and is an integral part of the coastal community of Gladstone in Central Queensland.
QAL is seeking a Senior Training Specialist to join our Human Resources department. The successful candidate will have strong competence in the training and development field. This is a great opportunity for an individual to pursue their career in Training and Development and aid in the delivery of key business initiatives.

> Key Role Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a team of direct reports
2. Design and develop leadership training courses
3. Ensure employees are trained and assessed as competent to carry out their work
4. Ensure appropriate documentation, procedures and training materials are developed and used as a guide to instruct and train employees
5. Manage training budgets and resource plans
6. Work in accordance with Government legislation and Workplace Health & Safety Guidelines
> Key Attributes:
1. Three to five years training experience in heavy industry or similar
2. Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering technical and leadership training
3. Demonstrated knowledge of Government legislation
4. Excellent communication, influencing, facilitation and leadership skills
5. Sound knowledge of systems and tools used in the training environment
6. Effective problem solver
7. Relevant tertiary qualifications. Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment would be advantageous
8. MS Office skills required and SAP experience desirable
