As an Assurance Assessor within Woodside you will be leading reviews, with support from Process Owners and Subject Matter experts, to identify Production Process systemic issues and fixes. You will be collaborating closely with Production Excellence to drive the “fixes” through Production Excellence improvement planning and implementation
Your negotiation and influencing skills at all levels of the Production division management network will be a key element of successful assurance practice. The role offers you the opportunity to develop an understanding of how the various facilities work, identify business improvement, develop a strong understanding of the Division management process and establish a broad network.
As Assurance Assessor, you will work across the entire range of Production Division activities and assets to ensure “we are doing what we say we do” in our Business processes. The assets include two onshore Gas plants and eight offshore facilities where our business processes are used daily to deliver safe and efficient oil and gas production. Assurance checks are conducted on all production facilities using the Production Assurance Tool (PAT) structured approach.
You will also be responsible for the following:
Implementing, monitoring and reporting of the current Production Function Assurance plan,
Developing future assurance plans in conjunction with Corporate Audit and Corporate H&S,
Maintaining and improving assurance tools (JIRA, PAT & ACTS),
Developing and mentoring guest auditors,
Identifying and sharing best practice with support from Production Excellence,
Improvement and implementation of the governance and assurance framework in Production
You will report to the Production Assurance Manager (currently part time), be supported by a technical assistant and work alongside other Assurance Assessors (x2) and Risk Specialists (x2). Your key stakeholders is varied and includes Asset Managers, FETL’s, Engineering Managers, Production Excellence Manager, Corporate Audit group and Process Owners. You can expect to remain in the role for up to 2 years before moving onto a leadership role (eg FETL), returning to a discipline based role or other suitable role. Availability for Karratha and Offshore travel is essential.
Suitable applicants should have some following experience and skills:
Experience in offshore and/or onshore assets
Operating model and management system experience
Understanding of Technical Integrity, Safety Cases, Environment Plans and related legislation, TCMS, ISSoW
Strong presentation and influencing skills
Tertiary qualifications or a technical background in an engineering or business related discipline
