Job Description
The purpose of this position is to be the “face” of the Bank within the Branch.  This position will provide exceptional customer service and is strongly focused on providing information and advice on Bank of Queensland products and services.

As the Customer Service Officer, you will be responsible for:

Achieve branch sales and referral targets as set by Branch and Customer Service Manager. Products include deposit accounts, general insurance, Consumer Credit Insurance (CCI), credit cards, merchants and general consumer lending.
Actively offer and supply customer’s appropriate products and packages, transactional options and general advice to meet their total financial needs.
Take “product champion” role for the benefit of the team as advised by Branch/Customer Service Manager.
Meet or exceed individual sales targets.
Complete a Know Your Customer form at every opportunity to ensure identification of the customers’ complete needs, enabling us to provide a ‘total solution’ and strengthen our customer relationships.
Proactively develop and maintain face to face relationships with internal and external customers.
Ensure customer complaints are resolved at the first point of contact where possible and that customer referrals are made to the appropriate Branch or specialist sales area.
Promote Bank ofQueenslandas a high quality provider of a full range of products.
Ensure branch operations are adhered to in accordance with Bank polices and procedures on compliance and security.
Ensure adherence to Bank of Queensland policies and procedures.
Complying with Branch cash, security and risk requirements and contributing to the maintenance and improvement of Branch business, including operational risk.
Required Skills
Previous customer service experience including cash handling.
Banking experience an advantage.
Experience in sales and cross selling preferred.
Required Experience
Proven customer service orientation.
Working knowledge of Windows programs.
Ability to work within a team to achieve results.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
