Our Huntingwood bakery currently has an opportunity available for a Manufacturing Engineer and you could be the extraordinary person we are looking for.
As the Manufacturing Engineer for one of the five lines on site, this role will see you focussed on delivering continuous improvement, by taking a hands on approach. Utilising your experience in a similar role, this position will require a balance of technical knowledge with the ability to lead and engage others. The position covers all aspects of line improvement, including packing line reliability, production quality, line safety and general performance improvement activities.
As a strong communicator and problem solver, who thrives in a fast paced environment, you will be called upon to identify opportunities to improve line efficiencies as well as resolve machine reliability issues through the planning and implementation of projects and continuous improvement activities.
The ingredients you need to be successful in this role include -
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience;
• Demonstrated ability to engage and lead operations and maintenance teams in continuous improvement activities;
• Experience in the practical application of continuous improvement tools;
• Willingness to interact and lead project teams across a 24 hour shift pattern;
• Exposure to large scale manufacturing and/or FMCG environment including packaging equipment experience and/or knowledge;
• Project Management experience; and
• Previous experience with SAP would be highly beneficial.
