· Full time, Permanent role
About the role
Boral Quarries Tasmania provides high quality aggregate for large infrastructure projects, and for residential and commercial construction, and is seeking a responsible, organised and experienced individual to join our team.
Reporting to the Quarry Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with day to day site operations to meet product output requirements.
Duties/responsibilities
· Operation of sales and production loaders,
· Operation of fixed plant,
· Operation of off-road dump trucks / water cart,
· Carry out start up and shut down procedures daily,
· General maintenance of fixed plant,
· General housekeeping,
· Strict adherence to safety standards,
· Participation in site safety and business improvement meetings,
· Ensuring Boral quality management standards are complied with, and
· Ensuring Boral safety and environmental standards are complied with.
Skills/experience
· Licensed and experienced Loader Operator,
· Current HR licence would be an advantage,
· Experience in fixed plant maintenance,
· Ability to maintain an energetic, self motivated and enthusiastic work ethic,
· Strong safety and environmental awareness,
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and
· Quality orientation with a passion for operational excellence, safety and self improvement.
