About the role
Boral Concrete Victoria provides high quality concrete for large infrastructure projects, and for residential and commercial construction, and is seeking a responsible, organised and experienced individual to join our team.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, this is a hands on role, you will be responsible for the batching and slumping of concrete for delivery to Boral's customers, as well as undertaking general yard and plant housekeeping.
Duties/responsibilities
· Compliance with OH&S policies, procedures and legislations, which includes participation in site safety meetings,
· Concrete Batching
· Slumping and Quality Control of High Strength and Special Class Concrete in accordance with Australian Standards
· On Site Raw Material Testing
· Operate a Front End Loader and Forklift (training provided),
· Undertake essential day-to-day administration of Batch Plant,
· Order and stock control of raw materials,
· Conduct daily checks on fixed and mobile plant and reporting to maintenance as required, and
· General maintenance and yard duties.
Skills/experience
· A strong safety focus,
· Relevant concrete batching experience (essential),
· Current FEL ticket and Forklift licence (preferred),
· Superior customer focus with excellent communication skills,
· Ability to complete documentation associated with collection and delivery of product,
· Computer literate,
· Self motivated,
· Professional and courteous manner,
· A willingness to participate in daily rosters and be adaptable to changing shifts.
