Job Title: BLACKHAWK UNIT MAINTENANCE TEST PILOT - CASUAL
As a qualified Blackhawk Test Pilot you will play a pivotal role within the Aerospace team to ensure the prompt completion and delivery of aircraft post department activities, you will work closely with the Blackhawk project team to conduct ground and flight activities in support of Blackhawk contracts in Townsville.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager you will:
Conduct all aspects of maintenance test flights relating to Blackhawk deeper maintenance
Carry out pre-induction check flights and post-modification test flying
As required, ferry flights for the Australian Army
To establish yourself in this key leadership position you will have:
Maintenance test flying experience with an Army Blackhawk Unit Maintenance Test Pilot qualification
A current CASA helicopter pilot licence (including current medical certificate) and a current CASA Day rating
CASA type endorsement with 200 hours ”Pilot in Command” on Black Hawk
S-70 A-9 helicopters
Obtained 500 hours ”Pilot in Command” on turbine helicopters
Proven experience managing, maintaining and auditing flying operations systems and company compliance with instructions, manuals and procedures
Fluent written and verbal English language skills with the ability to use and adapt communication skills to suit a variety of audiences
The ability to obtain an approved assessment by the Commonwealth standards assessing officers (pre-requisite of employment)
Whilst not essential, experience as an Army Rotary Wing Flying Instructor will be highly regarded.
Fly in/Fly out arrangements may be considered for suitable candidates outside the local area.
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
