BAE Systems provides total capability to our customers, our Maritime business is seeking experienced Weapons Systems Technicians to join a team that will maintain and refurbish the Mk45 Naval Guns for the Anzac class fleet.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Providing hands on technical support in dissembling, overhauling and reassembling the Mk45 gun.
• Installing, repairing and commissioning of systems and equipment as required.
• Responding to urgent maintenance request.
• Defect Analysis, developing resolution and detailed technical reports.
• Actively participate in problem solving teams and contribute to system improvements.
As the ideal applicant, you will have:
• Technical experience with the Mk45 naval gun.
• Previous Mechanical, Hydraulic maintenance experience on naval vessels (Ideally the Anzac class).
• Ability to read complex hydraulic/mechanical drawings
• Confidence to work both autonomously and within a team.
• An enthusiastic/proactive approach to achieving objectives
• Fault finding and problem solving experience
• A strong appreciation for occupational health and safety
Whilst not essential, electrical or hydro mechanical trade qualifications will be highly regarded
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
