Job Title: Registered Nurse - WHS & Infection Control

The Sydney Clinic is currently seeking a suitably experienced individual to take on the role of Registered Nurse - WHS & Infection Control. The successful candidate will maintain a professional development portfolio with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
The successful candidate will take a leadership role in the coordination of nursing care, providing supervision. Clinical education, direction and support for Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing.
They will work as part of the health care team, adhere to Healthscope and site policies and procedures, contribute to the efficient, effective, and economic running of the unit /ward, participate in working parties or committees (as required) demonstrate a commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement, achievement of hospital / facility accreditation and deliver a high standard of Customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities include:
WHS committee chair
Liaise with HICMR
Coordinate environmental ward audits
Manual handling training
Hand hygiene experience
Risk assessment and Hazard analysis
Liaise at multidisciplinary level (Management/Domestic/Catering)
The Sydney Clinic is a private psychiatric hospital located in Bronte Beach, Sydney, Australia. We have a forty year reputation of contributing to the provision of quality care and clinical excellence. We specialise in drug & alcohol and mood disorders, with a 44 bed private facility.
Essential Criteria:
Experience in WHS and/or Infection Control
Registered Nurse - Level 5 or above
Preferred Criteria:
Ability to demonstrate excellent clinical skills and judgement
Demonstrated teamwork, team management, and problem solving skills in the clinical setting
A commitment to quality improvement, patient and staff safety and risk management
Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills
