The role of the Senior Insurance Specialist is to provide comprehensive personal and business insurance advice to retail and business customers of the Commonwealth Bank.
Reporting to a Financial Planning Manager you will have access to a large base of referrals and partner with the local branch network to identify and drive existing and new business opportunities
With access to a range of financial planning tools and resources (including technical services, research support, paraplanning, compliance and professional development training) you will be accountable for driving your performance in line with revenue and retention targets and supported and encouraged to meet your career goals.
To be successful in this role you will require:
RG146 compliant in the following areas: Generic knowledge; Managed investments; Life insurance; Superannuation; Financial planning and skills
Strong relationship building skills and organisational ability
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective internal relationships with stakeholders
Selling and negotiation skills
Experience in evaluating ideas and strategies, plus demonstrating sound judgement based on data and logic
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in a customer sales and service role preferably with a network based banking background
Knowledge of the Bank's Personal Life Insurance products
Remain licensed to operate as an authorised representative of Commonwealth Financial Planning
Maintenance of a current non-restricted drivers license for the state or territory in which the person is to be based.
