The Central Coast Clinic is an innovative Mental Health Unit, located within Brisbane Waters Private Hospital, a general medical and surgical Healthscope Hospital. We are situated in Woy Woy on the scenic Central Coast of NSW, which is close to beautiful beaches and only 30 minutes from Hornsby. The hospital is a 15 minute walk from Woy Woy train station.
We currently specialise in Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Trauma and TPSD, Aged Care Psychiatry and Psychotic Disorders. We wish to expand our services to set up adolescent inpatient and outpatient group services. We are looking for a suitably qualified psychiatrist who has experience in adolescent psychiatry and is also able to carry a general adult inpatient caseload and participate in the ECT roster and to support our existing services.
Our Unit has 30 beds and is newly refurbished. The Clinic currently runs several successful adult Outpatient Day Group Programs, which include the following groups:
Depression and Anxiety Management
Art Therapy
Music Therapy
Relapse Prevention
Drug and Alcohol
The suitable applicant needs to have FRANZCP and demonstrated post-graduate experience with adolescent services and general adult psychiatry services.
The salary will be at any hourly rate equivalent to the NSW public sector award and 4 weeks' annual leave per year.
The specialist needs to have current medical registration and FRANZCP registration and be able to gain a Medical provider number for the hospital. The hospital would keep Medicare billings.
