A 5month temporary opportunity has become available for a Senior Credit Officer to join our Mass Market Credit team based in our Spencer Street office. The purpose of this position is to effectively and efficiently collect outstanding payments from high value, high risk mass market debtors by contacting customers and negotiating effective payment outcomes to maximise cash flow and minimise bad debt.
With primary responsibility for the performance of debt portfolios and performing a variety of tasks related to collection of delinquent accounts, this role will perform collection activities via telephone and email correspondence. In addition to this, your responsibilities will include;
Using leading edge collection and negotiation skills to manage a portfolio of high value, high risk mass market debtors and ensuring maximum collection from each debtor thereby maximising overall portfolio performance
Ownership of debt until accounts are fully paid
Investigation into accounts and outbound calls to customers collecting outstanding payments for electricity and gas to minimise outstanding debt
Conducting all collection activities efficiently, respectfully and in accordance with regulatory, legal and privacy requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following;
Extensive experience in a senior credit officer role
Excellent verbal communication skills
Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills
Proven ability to manage time effectively and work towards strict deadlines
Ability to work in a changing environment
Desire to work in a dynamic team environment
