Crown Melbourne currently has an opportunity for a Corporate Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team.This role is responsible for a range of financial reporting tasks and providing support and financial analysis for various support departments including being the first point of contact for department managers regarding financial matters. Reporting to the Deputy Financial Controller, this role requires a highly skilled Corporate Accountant to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of information for management and statutory reporting purposes.
Your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preparation of monthly management reports for a range of support departments
Gaining a solid understanding of the departmental functions and their core responsibilities
Timely & accurate completion of month end journals in line with company deadlines
Proactive resolution of variance analysis
Preparation of daily and monthly cash flow reports and other financial reports as required
Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Coordination of the annual business planning and budgeting process in close conjunction with support departments
Adhere to, develop & document company policies & procedures
What you need:
Ability to confidently liaise with & present financial information to key stakeholder at all levels of the business
Accounting experience in a similar role
Relevant tertiary qualification
Excellent written and verbal communication
Completion of recognised post-graduate accounting qualification
Advanced knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite of products
Ideally from a chartered accounting background
