Role Summary/Purpose: Responsible for originating, structuring & closing new business opportunities and achieving Fleet business growth targets. Working within an environment of measurement, tracking, and publishing of results against business goals. Day-to-day responsibility of meeting minimum business activity requirements to secure new clients and drive new volume and maximise returns. By utilising his/her Fleet experience, the incumbent will uncover new business opportunities through self-generation activities
Essential Responsibilities: * Planning and execution of lead generation practices. Importantly, a minimum level of cold calling activity is a stipulated and measured requirement
* Prospect engagement, primarily through visitation and direct contact
* Assessment of a prospect company’s Fleet needs, preparation and presentation of specific sales and marketing collateral
* Coordination, input and presentation of formal tender responses
* Achieve assigned advances, fees and yield targets for new sales across relevant product channels
* Work with colleagues from other Fleet product channels including Vehicle Salary Packaging and Commercial sales teams to maximise sales opportunities/penetration
* Proactively support Cross Selling and Access GE programs across GE Capital businesses
* Engage Risk team and business support in the sales process to deliver solutions to customers whilst delivering quality investment opportunities for GE, ensuring that all risk requirements are adhered to
* Use sound risk/pricing analysis and judgment in approving/recommending credit levels and ensure that the Risk department are supported in ensuring that all credit reviews are completed within the specified time frame
* Assist in the preparation of reports and dashboards for the Regional Manager
* Assist in the maintenance of sales activity metrics for control of sales activities and awareness of trends (Salesforce). Continually exploring initiatives to improve sales force effectiveness
* Work closely with counterparts to ensure that all best practices are shared and implemented
* Ensure compliance of service level agreements with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
Qualifications/Requirements: Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in business related discipline
- Formal accounting qualification (preferred)
Experience
- Proven track record of leveraging technical knowledge within the fleet domain to deliver sales targets
- Proven track record in prospecting target markets and delivering business to business sales
- Established record of identifying, structuring and closing opportunities with large private and public companies
- Established record of responding to tenders and successfully closing such opportunities
- Strong financial acumen competency with proven ability to communicate at the CFO level of targeted large private and public prospects
- Sound understanding of legal issues relating to various forms of domestic documentation required in operating and finance lease transactions
- Experience in deal structuring and resolution of delinquency matters
- Proven ability to overcome obstacles and solve complex business/prospect problems in order to achieved desired outcomes
- Prior experience using Salesforce or similar system
Technical Knowledge
- Deep domain expertise in Fleet sales and operations
- Ability to identify, structure, present and close a value proposition which differentiates GE from its competitors
- Demonstrated ability to understand Financial Statements and conduct financial analysis
- Sound risk analysis and financial analysis knowledge
- The ability to develop workable solutions to meet prospect/customer needs
