Role Summary/Purpose: The successful candidate for this player/coach role will be a high-performing team leader and technical contributor with frequent interaction involving customer, sales, proposal, technology, and leadership teams in support of consulting engagements in the manufacturing, mining and water industries with our MES, Workflow and Asset Intelligence Solutions.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a Services Team to ensure high performance of within the Australian Business.
- Provide significant revenue generating individual technical contributions to projects.
- Manage HR and EHS requirements for the team, leading and cultivating a culture of GE values and integrity.
- Contribute to project estimation and proposal development.
- Leverage processes to ensure best-fit application of Proficy products and services to meet customer requirements.
- Effectively communicate with customers, partners, team members, and business leadership as an inclusive leader.
- Leverage processes to evaluate, capture, and apply best practices and lessons learned to drive implementation cycle-time improvements.
- Develop and leverage cross-functional relationships to drive effective support for application development and technical project execution.
- Drive dynamic resource allocation, including contract consultants, to maximize effective utilization of resources, ensure project success, and deliver high quality solutions.
- Maintain technical skills and knowledge continuously updating them
- Effectively applies GEIP execution methodology and embraces project standards
- Proactively report and manage project progress against schedule
- Manage and report on adjustments to scope, schedule, and issues
- Strong ability to work independently as well as part of the team
- Lead strategic and tactical planning sessions
- Assist existing customers in problem resolution and helps define future opportunities with those customers
Location could be Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Proven ability to produce high quality deliverables.
- Skill in motivating team members to produce high quality deliverables against project schedule commitments.
- Strong business acumen; able to fully understand the mission and scope of the business equation.
- 5 or more years of project leadership, system design, and/or consulting experience.
- BS/BA in engineering discipline, computer science, or related field of study.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Manufacturing Operations market space.
- Experience in customer-facing engagements.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with proven ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.
- Solid verbal / written communication skills.
- Strong organizational / time management skills, with a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently while leading others.
- Attention to detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Ability and availability to travel throughout Australia up to 50%

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Desired Characteristics:
- Masters degree in engineering discipline, computer science, MBA, or related field of study.
- Minimum 5 years Services leadership experience or equivalent.
- Six Sigma Training (Green Belt or Black Belt) and certification.
- Strong exposure to MES technologies, including automated data collection, visualization, quality and efficiency in manufacturing, SCADA, automated decision control, workflow, database applications, scheduling, and interface to ERP systems
- Software skills in software analysis, design, methodology, and architecture
- Exposure to enterprise level large-scale applications
