Our port facilities consist of three shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading. Expansion works at Cape Lambert will underpin an expansion of our system capacity to 353 million tonnes per annum.
Reporting to the Supervisor Quality Measurement, you will be performing day to day routine analysis of samples from the plant. Additionally, you will be responsible for running sample station using software like Citect as well as sample preparation through analysis technique.
As a Quality Measurement Operator, your responsibilities will include:
Collecting, preparing and analysing iron ore samples in accordance with safety, environmental and statutory requirements
Identifying and reporting equipment defects
Performing equipment and quality checks as per schedule
Detecting problems with sample plant operations and rectifying them
Arranging for suitable equipment and material to be available in order to meet laboratory targets
Demonstrating a daily commitment to our safety first culture.
To be successful in this role, you will hold a Certificate IV in Lab Techniques or higher. You will have extensive technical experience and attention to detail along with being a good team player. Your licence in X-ray analysis use and service will be advantageous.
