This site based role located in the Fairview area of the Surat Basin of Central Queensland, working on a 21/7 FIFO roster
The QA/QC Nace Coatings Inspector is responsible for the safe execution of the scope of work within the nominated time frame, and to specification.
Critical to the success of the position will be the Inspectors ability to achieve productivity targets and record any change to the scope, nature of the works, delay and disruption for their delegated works.
The role involves but not limited to the following:-
Reading and understanding plans and specifications relating to corrosion protection.
Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost savings.
Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications and industry standards
Liaison with key stakeholders, eg: 3rd Party NACE Inspectors, Vendors, Engineers, Site Supervisors to promote required quality criteria.
Identify, document and follow up on Non Conformance Reports (NCR's).
Manage all coatings QA/QC documentation in accordance with project requirements
Carry out all necessary inspection and testing in accordance with project requirements
Monitor daily site protective coating preparation and application works and produce the required daily inspection reports
To perform this role you will need:-
NACE Level 2 Coatings Inspector Qualifications with extensive experience
Strong people management skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Experience on a similar sized project (+$150 million) working for the contractor
Previous experience on Oil & Gas Industry with would be desirable
