Job Title: Nightshift Maintenance Supervisor - Emu Plains
Division: Boral Construction Materials
Department: Quarries
Work type: Permanent - full time
Location: Sydney
Reporting to the Quarry Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:
Strict adherence to safety standards.
Supervise maintenance and repair programs for mobile and fixed plant equipment are carried out as required.
Allocate job tasks for available resources to meet scheduled maintenance repair and work instructions.
Delivery and Participation in site safety and business improvement meetings.
Ensuring Boral safety and environmental standards are complied with.
Assisting with on site training of quarry personnel.
Ensuring successful teamwork and team leadership of quarry personnel and specialist contractors.
Check mobile and fixed plant equipment resources.
Ensuring Boral quality management standards are complied with.
Essential Competencies include:
Strong safety and environmental awareness.
Fixed plant maintenance (crushing, screening & pumps) experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
First aid certificate and quarry experience are essential for this role.
Quality orientation.
Certificate 3 Extractive Industries is required and an undertaking for Certificate 4.
Passion for operational excellence, safety and self improvement.
Understanding of fatigue management and mass management guidelines.
Preferred Competencies include:
Previous experience in Supervision of quarry operation or similar environment.
Strong supervisory and communication skills.
Experience in quarries, concrete plants and sand plants preferred.
Experience working night shift hours and/or within a hard rock, multi bench quarry will be well regarded but is not essential. Successful applicants will be appropriately licensed and qualified.
