Banking and Financial Services Group (BFS) is the primary relationship manager for Macquarie's retail client base in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and Europe. Products and services include wealth management, stockbroking and retail lending and banking solutions such as residential and commercial mortgages, investment lending, credit cards and relationship banking to businesses and professionals.
The Macquarie Banking and Financial Services (BFS) - Service & Operations division provides a consistent, yet specialised client experience for a range of client types. With over 700 staff our scaleable business model is designed to provide the highest level of service for products such as cash, term deposits, money market, wrap, super, insurance, broking and mortgages.
Macquarie's Mortgage Division specialises in the manufacture and distribution of mortgage solutions through a diversified distribution network. With a focus on continued growth we have an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Credit Analyst.
Role Overview
Working as part of a supportive, high performing team you will be responsible for:
Reviewing and assessing credit applications and approving/recommending loans in accordance with established parameters;
Liaising with mortgage insurers, valuers and solicitors on individual loan applications;
Resolving client telephone queries on new loan proposals;
Exceeding our service quality standards as well supporting the local sales team through providing ongoing credit training and site visits for key clients.
The successful candidate will:
Demonstrateexperience and knowledge of credit assessment and decisioning in a residential lending environment, preferably within a bank lender
Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team;
Possess strong attention to detail and task completion;
Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
Possess the ability to easily build relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
Be an effective time manager and be able to prioritise and manage your workload;
Ideally hold an existing approval delegation, although this is not essential.
