Job Title: Mechanical Engineers - Expressions of interest - 05639
Multiple opportunities
You will be in a key role providing technical and engineering support and vision to achieve safe, efficient and reliable operation of existing facilities . You will assist at establishing Standards and reviewing new technologies for future projects both Onshore and Offshore operating facilities.
This is an outstanding opportunity to develop a career in Australia's leading Oil and Gas operator working on a variety of equipment including large diameter piping, valves, vessels and other static mechanical packages including cryogenic services and offshore facilities that handle massive volumes of gas and condensate.
Key accountabilities
Providing technical support to existing facilities to resolve operational problems in a timely manner.
Provide strategic direction to optimise facility performance.
Carryout/coordinate in depth analytical studies in determination of route cause of a failure
Direct input to opportunity management, reliability and continuous improvement of existing systems that will also involve interfacing with project groups.
Improve mechanical engineering knowledge and experience in all levels of the Engineering, Maintenance and Operations Departments, thereby raising the level of mechanical engineering competence within these groups.
Mentoring graduate and other less experienced engineers to ensure staff retention and maintain a future skill base
Qualifications and experience
Tertiary Qualification in Mechanical engineering with previous experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated experience at a technical engineering level within the oil and gas or related industry.
For more senior roles, the ability and passion to mentor less experienced Mechanical Engineers
Operational Support experience in Oil and Gas however other Operating Support roles will be considered .
Leadership and teamwork ability to work in the Woodside integrated matrix organisation
Excellent communication skills and the ability to converse with individuals at all levels within the organisation.
Ability to demonstrate strong business focus, flexibility and a committed attitude to safety.
Demonstrate good planning and establish communication between stakeholders to achieve optimum production.
You are a team orientated individual, who displays corporate citizenship and is able to lead by example. Proven experience in a similar role will be highly sought after plus the passion to develop your career in an environment where adherence to statutory requirements and commitment to integrity and safety is paramount.
