Job Title: Control Systems Engineer - 05633
This position provides engineering support to Woodside’s operating facilities to achieve safe, efficient and optimum operation.
Responsibilities and accountabilities:
Responsible for compliance with the Production Processes
Responsible for ensuring all modifications follow the Technical Change Management System
Responsible for identifying and managing opportunities during the “Assess” and “Select” phases
Responsible for preparing the scopes of work for minor/medium CAPEX/OPEX work sufficient to enable at least Class 1 cost estimates to be prepared
Responsible for justifying current and future work programs and ensuring their inclusion in the facility budget
Responsible for managing expenditure of approved budget items within the discipline scope of work
Responsible for participating in or leading incident investigations
Skills and experience:
Experience in a similar plant (Oil & Gas industry) in addition to any other post graduate experience
Excellent technical knowledge - ability to provide guidance, expertise to others
Ability to supervise / mentor other engineers
Oil and Gas background or similar previous plant experience
Able to work autonomously - investigations, deviation considerations, resolving plant issues
Able to influence others, manage priorities effectively, provide advice and expertise to others
Team based focus
Communication skills for interfacing with multi discipline groups on a daily basis
Interpersonal skills to liaise with personnel of varying skills and knowledge
Technical experience in the following area an advantage:
• SIS systems – Triconex preferred.
• DCS systems – Honeywell Experion preferred.
• Turbine control systems – GE MK 4-6 preferred.
• Compressor control – CCC preferred.
• Industrial Communications Protocol.
• Industrial PLC’s – Allen Bradley preferred.
Ability to identify and assess engineering risk.
