Banking and Financial Services Group (BFS) is the primary relationship manager for Macquarie's retail client base in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North America and Europe. Products and services include wealth management, stockbroking and retail lending and banking solutions such as residential and commercial mortgages, investment lending, credit cards and relationship banking to businesses and professionals.

The Macquarie Banking and Financial Services (BFS) - Service & Operations division provides a consistent, yet specialised client experience for a range of client types. With over 850 staff our scalable business model is designed to provide the highest level of service for products such as cash, term deposits, money market, wrap, super, insurance, broking and mortgages.

Role Overview:

The Credit Administrator is accountable for all pre-settlement status enquiries within the lending process for Mortgages Australia. As a key member of the Lending Team they obtain outstanding information for loan applications and follow up actions that fall outside agreed service standards. This role is a focal point for third party enquiries and status reports from external service providers to assist the facilitation of the loan approval process.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively contact brokers for all outstanding documentation throughout the loan process;
Communicate with all external stakeholders to manage loan applications to settlement (these include but are not limited to valuers and solicitors);
Answer status enquiries from brokers for all loan applications pre-settlement;
Proactively manage application pipeline and meet formal approval;
Foster productive business relationships with an aim to improve quality;
Assist in increasing the quality of loan applications by maintaining quality control;

Successful Applicant:

Previous experience in a similar role;
Ability to identify issues, escalate and to present solutions;
Exceptional attention to detail and high aptitude for problem solving;
Professional verbal and written communication skills;
Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills;
Excellent time management skills and an ability to work to deadlines.
