We are currently seeking applications for an Investment Accountant, Daily Investment Reporting within Wholesale Banking based in Sydney.
Reporting to the Team Leader Asset Servicing Investment Reporting, this role is responsible for the preparation and submission of daily and monthly investment reporting advice to external clients. This role will have direct contact with clients and must live the Corporate Values. In doing so, they will become a trusted partner of our clients.
Critical to the role will be identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact our clients and resolving any issues that the client may identify. Service level agreements (SLA) must be met at all times. Any statutory or investment reporting legislation set by NAB Group standards and policies are also to be complied with.
Specifically this will involve:
Daily/Monthly investment reporting to external clients including transactions occurring on a daily basis
Quality assurance to ensure daily transactions entered are accurate and to maintain the integrity of the client's data on a daily/monthly basis
Comparing market value movement of investments to benchmarks and providing explanations to clients where movement exceeds that of benchmark
Maintaining the integrity of clients General Ledger static data on a daily/monthly basis.
To be considered for this role you will be degree qualified and be able to demonstrate the following experience:
Minimum 1 year industry experience with a custodian or fund manager
Strong knowledge of the securities industry
Knowledge of General Ledger Accounting and the interaction that exists between the GL and Investment systems
Knowledge of Investment Accounting for various instruments
Knowledge of financial market benchmarks
Advanced MS Office skills
Knowledge of derivatives and the calculation of effective exposure
Knowledge of unit pricing guide to good practice
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Achievement focused and an innovative self starter with the ability to work autonomously, you will have high standards of performance and quality. This role requires strong attention to detail, time management and strong analytical and problem solving ability.
Please note the successful candidate has to be available to work flexible hours based on the following times: 7:30am - 4:30pm; 8:30am - 5:30pm; 12:00pm - 9:00pm; and occasional weekend work. These times are subject to change depending on the business and clients needs.
