Located in the central Pilbara, west of Karijini National Park, Tom Price is Rio Tinto's original Pilbara mine, currently employing about 950 people mainly on residential rosters. Tom Price is one of the most attractive towns in the Pilbara with a high school, hospital and a high standard of recreation facilities.
Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, you will ensure that electrical maintenance activities are conducted in a safe, efficient & cost effective manner to enable the maintenance department to meet present and future needs of operations. You will also ensure statutory compliance with electrical installations and systems.
As a Fixed Plant Electrician, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting timely preventive maintenance inspections
Performing electrical maintenance repairs in a safe and efficient manner
Accurate time keeping and reporting of faults for future planning
Informing others in the work area of any hazards associated with the task
Ensuring that competency, training requirements and appropriate standards are maintained
Maintaining and using personal protective equipment correctly.
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified electrician with knowledge of electrical regulations. Your problem solving abilities with a strong safety focus and a team oriented approach is essential. Your product life cycle experience, variable speed drives experience, High Voltage Switching ticket and instrumental or process plant experience will provide you with an added advantage.
