Downer EDi Mining - Blasting Services is a leading explosive manufacturer and provider of high quality blasting and technical services. We are now looking for a new Field Technician to service our Christmas Creek project.
The Plant Field Technician's role is to perform repairs and maintenance on mobile and fixed plant in accordance with standard working procedures and manufacturer's specifications in a safe manner. In addition you would be responsible for participating in the continual improvement of equipment and development of your own technical skill base.
More specifically, responsibilities include application of technical skills to perform maintenance tasks as per scheduled works, completion of work system documentation, responding to field breakdown queries, travelling to regional sites and assisting stores with parts identification and sourcing.
About you
Trade certification (electrical or mechanical).
Experience in automotive, process and/or mobile equipment maintenance is desirable, as is experience maintaining auto electrical control systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and at least basic computer literacy.
High levels of initiative.
