Residential role in Tom Price
Located in the central Pilbara, west of Karijini National Park, Tom Price is Rio Tinto's original Pilbara mine, currently employing about 950 people mainly on residential rosters. Tom Price is one of the most attractive towns in the Pilbara with a high school, hospital and a high standard of recreation facilities.
Reporting to the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be coordinating with operational personnel to provide project management and technical expertise to ensure that Rio Tinto Iron Ore safety, scope, functional requirements, technical design and quality standards are achieved.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing contractor employees
Mentoring graduate and vacation students
Reviewing the design to identify and resolve issues
Managing electrical equipment reliability and process improvement engineering
Providing technical support for operations in the development, implementation and handover of projects
Maintaining awareness of relevant engineering developments and statutory requirements within the mining industry.
To be successfully considered for this role, you will hold a degree in Electrical Engineering as per the Australian standards. Additionally, your experience in mining or manufacturing industry coupled with commitment to health, safety and environment will be highly regarded.
