Arnott's Biscuits Virginia is a large manufacturing facility producing Australia's favourite biscuits. The site operates in full production mode 24 hours per day, 5 days per week with additional weekend production and maintenance shifts. Some of the brands we are proud to call our own are Cruskits, Shapes, Kingston, Family Assorted packs and our newly developed product, “Roadies”!
An opportunity now exists for a Production Leader within one of our manufacturing teams on night shift, and you could be the extraordinary person we are looking for!
Reporting into a Manufacturing Manager, our Production Leaders have complete responsibility for a production line or area, from the preparation of ingredients, right through to the packaging of our delicious biscuits. The realm of your responsibility spans across workplace health and safety, continuous improvement, quality, and most importantly, people management.
A big part of your time will be spent out on the floor coaching and motivating your team to meet and exceed key performance indicators. Your capability in influencing, communication and building relationships with all levels of the business will be critical. Depending on the Line/area, team sizes range from 15 – 40 people. As a successful leader, you will be required to adapt your management style to meet the needs of a diverse workplace.
Your exposure to team leadership, combined with your problem solving ability, will provide a platform to help us deliver on a number of continuous improvement projects.
