Downer is one of Australia's major manufacturers and suppliers of bitumen based products, we provide our clients with asphalt, blended binders and emulsion products, as well as expert services and engineering advice in soil and pavement stabilisation, pressure injection stabilisation, pavement, recycling, pavement profiling and management of assets.
Downer Infrastructure seeks to add an experienced Asphalt Supervisor to our team based from our operations at Maddington Perth WA.
This key role will responsible for the management and supervising the resources for projects in terms of time, cost, and quality in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with both contractual and statutory requirements.
Key requirements:
Sound knowledge of Asphalt and road maintenance
Project planning which includes safety, quality assurance and environmental considerations.
Effective scheduling and planning of projects to ensure optimum utilization of resources
Completion of Site memos or Contract Variations as required.
Complete daily activity sheets and diary entries
Identify correct plant and labour for efficient utilization
Supervision of crews, operators, site personnel in a broad range of duties
Plan and programme works and maintenance activities
Solid understanding of cost, quality, safety and environmental systems
Ability to identify and rectify spray product defects
Proven leadership and organisational skills
Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications
High level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
High focus on safety and zero harm management
The successful candidate will have significant experience in a leadership role previously. A strong background in Asphalt and experience working in the metropolitan area will be looked upon favourably. You will be a champion of safe working practices and will lead from the front in this regard.
