Opportunity to work in Rio Tinto’s state of the art Operations Centre
Attractive roster with 2 days on, 2 nights on and 4 off
Our privately owned and operated rail network is an essential part of our integrated production process and services our 14 mines across the Pilbara via 1,500 kilometres of track. With depots located at Tom Price, Cape Lambert and Dampier (7 Mile), each train is operated by a single driver and comprises up to three locomotives and 234 ore cars stretching to approximately 2.4 kilometres in length with 40 trains operating per day. As part of our Mine of the Future™ programme, we will implement Auto Haul technology - the first long distance heavy haulage deployment of automated trains - enhancing both productivity and safety.
Reporting to the Superintendent Train Control Planning, you will be responsible for monitoring each train control board to ensure efficient and effective allocation of resources and track maintenance time.

Fostering a culture of safety and safe work standards.
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive experience within the rail industry along with demonstrated knowledge of rail track networks, maintenance and integrated systems. You will have leadership skills with significant exposure to internal and external stakeholder management. Your background in logistics, supply chain or network optimisation will see you excel in this role.
