At NAB, it's all about our people reaching their full potential. Due to internal growth we are currently seeking an experienced Test Architect. You will be responsible for providing technology based services incorporating strategy, design, development, delivery and maintenance of technological solutions to meet business needs.
The Test Solution Architect works closely with projects and Test Directors to establish a project testing approach, which ensures the strategic and tactical requirements of the business and IT, are met.
Following the defined NAB methodology frameworks as well as conceiving new innovative testing approaches to ensure the testing scope, objectives and approaches are defined and documented.
The Test Architect contributes to the overall quality of deliverables across all parameters, both functional and non-functional including performance, security, usability, maintainability etc.
Strategy:
Contribute to Testing Services Strategy, overall Test Strategy and Major Asset Strategies
Provision of Delivery Services
Lead and drive definition of the overall Testing Approach for the IT Solution in a large program/portfolio of projects, in a way that:
Complies with and advances Testing Services Strategy, the Overall Test Strategy and Asset/Domain Test Strategy Is agreed and endorsed by all stakeholders
Identifies and evaluates possible testing options
Assesses options to ensure balance of quality, risk, cost and time-to market
Covers both application and infrastructure aspects of testing by working with AD/M, Infrastructure and partners
Dvelop and communicate Testing Scope and approach for the project/program that summarises the solution
Prepare 30% Estimates for the project/program
Contribute to Solutions Option Paper, Architecture Scoping Document and Business Case
Ensure Test Approach allows for early defect detection through facilitation and participation of SAD, BRS and HLD reviews/walkthroughs
Work closely with the Test Director to ensure that the Testing Scope Document is suitable for delivery and the testing is implemented in accordance to test strategy over entire lifecycle of project/program.
Tracking deviation from approach defined in the Test Scope Document during the delivery phases and taking these learnings back into Test Architecture community to ensure efficiency and constant improvement of the Test Architect function
Provide governance, identify and assess risks and issues across projects through the key milestones of testing lifecycle.
Participate and drive strategic initiatives in line with the Testing Services end-state
Own testing assets (e.g. regression test assets)
Convene testing forums, interact with partners to assess emerging practices, tools and processes and identify relevance to the NAB Testing Services objectives
It is expected that the role holder will most likely have the following qualifications and experience:
Extensive experience in a role that would provide the skills and knowledge required for the position, e.g. IT Auditor, Project Manager, Change Manager
Experience in leading project testing effort on a number of projects
Successful delivery of testing objectives that meet or exceed customer goals
Some experience in test management, planning and execution across a broad range of test engagements
A hands-on approach to test process development and adoption involving the ability to:
Define and deliver test environment requirement
Work within source code control practice
Work with test data management practices
Extensive experience of testing concepts, principles, methodologies and life cycle
Experience of change management processes and interfaces
Experience of total quality management and quality assurance principles and tools
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in Information Technology (or related field)
Project Management qualifications/experience desirable
