Job Description
The purpose of this position is to work closely with the Branch Manager to assist in leading, motivating and coaching the service team to deliver superior customer service and achieve branch targets.

Achieve branch sales and referral targets as set by Branch Manager. Actively offer and sell customers appropriate products and packages, transactional options and specialist advice to meet their total financial needs.

Oversee structured and regular sales meetings geared towards the Branch KPI’s focusing on year to date performance.

Developing a sound understanding of the customer base and ensure consistent and relevant Branch sales and service activities.

Supervise and coordinate the branch service team on a daily basis.

Analyse work loads to ensure effective rostering of the branch to meet customer needs.

Assist in the development of the skill sets of service staff.

Ensure all identified mandatory training is completed and assessments successfully undertaken.

Proactively develop and maintain face to face relationships with internal and external customers.

Build productive working relationships with business partners and actively share knowledge and experiences across the region.

Ensure customer complaints are resolved at the first point of contact where possible and that customer referrals are made to the appropriate Branch or specialist sales area.

Promote Bank ofQueenslandas a high quality provider of a full range of products.

Ensure branch operations are managed in accordance with bank polices and procedures on compliance and security.

Ensure adherence to Bank of Queensland credit policies and procedures.

Comply with Branch cash, security and risk requirements and contribute to the management and improvement of Branch business, including operational risk.

Ensure Customer Service Officers understand and comply to all Bank of Queensland policy and procedures.


Required Skills

Knowledge of BoQ products and services.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge and proven skills in supervision of branch operations.

Proven customer service orientation with demonstrated relationship building skill.

Working knowledge of Windows programs.


Required Experience

Previous customer service experience including cash handling.

Proven experience in sales and cross selling.

Proven experience in motivating and coaching a team.
