Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a Segment Marketing Manager to join our Asia Pacific Regional Marketing team at our Asia Pacific regional headquarters located on campus at Macquarie University. Reporting to the Marketing Director, Asia Pacific this role works with product marketing, communications, regulatory, reimbursement and clinical professionals to develop and drive marketing strategies for key consumer/patient segments. This leadership role is responsible for developing the segmentation methodology; researching and gaining insights; identifying and refining consumer segments; and developing and executing the tactical plans in collaboration with local country managers and marketing staff.
In this permanent role you'll have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to Cochlear's successful history of commercialisation by applying your knowledge of segmentation methodologies, research and strategic marketing communications .You'll know you've been successful in this role when you've influenced the Country Managers and delivered growth in targeted segments.
This role would ideally suit a candidate with a broad range of experience across the marketing function including business, market and competitor analysis, customer segmentation, research, pricing analysis as well as the tactical execution of marketing communications strategy.
Key Requirements
Proven experience analysing customer data and secondary research to identify opportunities for business growth;
Practical knowledge of demographic and psycho-social segmentation methodologies;
Demonstrated ability to influence business managers by demonstrating the commercial value of new segments;
Track record of delivering commercial outcomes/business growth by executing segmentation strategies;
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing marketing communications campaigns;
Broad cultural perspective to be able to work with colleagues across the region and understand the commercial challenges in each market;
Degree in Business/Marketing/Communications.
