We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Registered Nurse to assist the General Manager in the operational management of the Operating Theatre Complex of 4 theatres. This department performs a range of surgical procedures including General, Bariatic, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Vascular, Gynaecology, ENT, Faciomaxillary and a number of other specialities.
This pivotal role is for an expert in Perioperative Nursing, who is committed to excellence in the provision of clinical practice and has the ability to work effectively within the ACORN Standards. The applicant must be able to demonstrate extensive skills in effective communication and human resource management.
Brisbane Waters Private Hospital is a general medical and surgical Healthscope hospital situated in Woy Woy on the scenic Central Coast of NSW, which is close to beautiful beaches and only 30 minutes from Hornsby.
Essential Criteria:
Extensive experience in perioperative nursing
Degree in Nursing and or equivalent post graduate certification
Minimum of 2 years theatre management experience
One of the primary responsibilities of this role is supporting the clinical staff through staff education and mentoring
Ability to ensure excellence in customer service provision to internal and external customers
Demonstrated proactive approach to problem solving and conflict avoidance and resolution
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of the management team
Able to encourage and motivate staff to embrace change
Demonstrated ability to apply innovative business building strategies
Ability to build and maintain partnerships with all stakeholders
Ability to manage labour KPIs and how to work within them
Financial and human resource management skills
Knowledge of the operational requirements of CSSD (AS4187)
Demonstrated understanding of ISO 9001 accreditation
Able to use Riskman reporting system desirable
