Location: Melb - Port Melbourne
We are currently seeking a mail operator to work the night shift in our Port Melbourne office. Your role will involve operating all mailing equipment in the Mail Room in order to achieve on time delivery of clients' jobs within strictly measured quality and productivity specifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
• On time delivery of mail
• Ensure the efficient and timely production of mailpacks
• All mailpacks are produced as specified by instructions and reconciled via each job bag
• Recognise and escalate any potential issues to the Team Leader.
• Ensure all mail systems and ISO procedures are complied with. Every job run to be approved and quality audited in line with ISO procedure to ensure 100% quality.
• Ensure all jobs are reconciled.
To be successful in this position you will have:
• Strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes that meet client expectations
• Ability to be effective in a dynamic production environment that operates 24 hours a day.
• Experience working with mailing machinery would be helpful however is not mandatory
• Be a mechanically minded person that can operate equipment in the Handline dept.
• Focused on producing quality work in a productivity measurement workplace culture
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Attention to detail
• Capable of problem solving and logical thinking
In addition, some flexibility is required if an occasion may present where an urgent task outside the general nature of the role is necessary in order to meet Communication Services client requirements.
