Description
Duties:
Reporting to the Senior Scientist Supervisor, you will develop test methods for biopharmaceutical products in development. It will be your responsibility to develop new assay procedures suitably qualified for purpose and prepare accompanying documentation. You will also design and analyse DOEs, interpret analytical data and present results at project meetings. The position will require advanced skills in trouble shooting for various assay techniques and you will be required to play a role in the Technical Transfer of methods in and out of the department.
You will be expected to maintain high safety standards, adhere to government and industry regulations and research new technologies and laboratory practices to ensure continuous improvement at CSL. It will also be your responsibility to write scientific protocols and reports and train other scientific staff. Thus, excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Qualifications:
This is an exciting opportunity for an energized professional with strong scientific training, extensive laboratory experience and a track record in timely and successful completion of project work. You will be a team player, with previous experience in protein biochemistry or pharmaceutical sciences with an emphasis on instrumental analysis. Additionally, experience in coagulation factor analytics would be an advantage. You are well organised with great attention to detail, with ability to problem solve and you posses excellent time management skills.
By training, you have a PhD degree in a relevant scientific area with significant experience in protein HPLC/chromatographic separations and/or in biologic based assays and/or techniques utilising microfluidics.
