Job Title: Hospital Accounts Billing Clerk

Prior experience in managing staff in a 2nd in charge role preferable
An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated and experienced Hospital Patient Billing Clerk to join the team at Prince of Wales Private Hospital. The hospital is a 168 bed private facility caring for a broad mix of patients including cardiac surgery, obstetrics, orthopaedics and neurosurgery.
You will be responsible for generating patient and health fund billing and handling all aspects of account enquiries.
The role may also include the management and monitoring of current and outstanding debtors, follow up with health fund debt and reconciliation of payments, while performing basic administration duties. A critical part of the administration team, preferred criteria for this role includes:
Strong customer service focus
Excellent language and communication skills, particularly over the telephone
Possess knowledge of patient billing and health fund contracts
Have a high level of computer literacy (intermediate excel would be an advantage)
Attention to detail
Quality improvement focus
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Possess strong telephone and communication skills
Duties may include acting in a deputy role
