An opportunity exists for an experienced Cytogeneticist to take on the role of Department Head in the Cytogenetic Laboratory at Healthscope Pathology, Clayton, Victoria on a Full Time basis.
The Cytogenetic Department performs testing on prenatal, postnatal and tissue samples (including paraffin embedded sections) using conventional Cytogenetic, FISH and Microarray techniques.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day running of the laboratory and will need to hold an FHGSA in cytogenetic (or be actively working towards this qualification - sitting examinations in 2013). Experience in all aspects of Cytogenetic including molecular karyotyping is essential.
