Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide excellent customer service whilst effectively managing aspects involved in the collection of delinquent accounts including enforcement action.
Required Skills
Bank Executive and Management structure
Knowledge of BOQ policies and procedures
Collection policy and procedure, including legal guidelines and restrictions
Basic understanding of relevant legislation including, but not limited to: Bankruptcy Act 1966; The Consumer Credit Code; The Privacy Act; Australian Competition and Consumer Commission; The Banking Code of Practice
Compliance with individual State and Territory “Collections Support” publications
Ability to quickly develop an understanding of the Bank’s collection system
Intermediate Computer skills
High quality of communication skills displayed with internal staff/management end external professionals
Sound judgement for practical decision making
Ability to make suitable arrangements and follow up to full payment received
Time management of daily duties
Ability to absorb and learn and retain new information
Sound problem solving techniques
Automated Collection System – Tallyman
Electronic White Pages
Bank of Queensland banking system - CRS
Required Experience
Previous experience in a customer service environment essential
