Reporting to the Business Customers Credit Risk Manager, this role is responsible for management of Credit Assessment functions supporting acquisition and retention activity across all of Business Customers Portfolio.
The purpose of this role is to achieve AGL's strategic targets for the control, management and resolution of Business Customers debt by identifying high risk customers through a structured credit assessment process including assessment of company financial documents in order to minimise AGL's exposure to bad debt.
The strategic targets are primarily focused on minimising Bad Debt and the role will deliver to these through targeted operational activities;
Management of an end to end Credit Assessment process across the large market portfolio
Relationship based management of the above
Pro-active engagement of Key Stakeholders to maximise returns/mitigate loss
Exceptional Customer Service to both Internal and External customers
Strong decision making around risk vs revenue
Being Pro-active in getting Key decision makers together to progress resolution activities - holding others accountable
Robust reporting to ensure we identify and understand where credit risk lies

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills with high quality written and verbal communication skills. We are also ideally looking for;
An in-depth understanding of Commercial Credit Assessment
Ability to read and interpret company financials
Ability to compute Financial ratios
Strong Risk Analysis skills leading to sound decision making
Proven Assertive and negotiation skills
Presentation skills, in particular to senior Management
Self managing, pro-active, good Time Management skills
Sound conflict resolution skills
Strong and proven strategic and conceptual skills
Intermediate to Advanced Excel/Access/Powerpoint skills
Proven experience in assessing commercial files and financial statements analysis
