Supporting our businesses and integral to the success of the Funds Group is our Operations Division. In Australia the Operations Division supports all Divisions of MIM and MSIS. The Managed Funds team is responsible for the processing of all applications/ redemptions as well as the valuation and processing of distributions for all managed fund investments.
We are seeking applications from experienced Operations Professionals with exposure to managed funds/hedge funds/ transfer agency/funds custody to fulfil this short term temporary contract.
Your responsibilities will include:
Responsible for daily Managed Funds processes:
Daily processing of Application and Redemptions on Managed Funds.
Updating of Managed Fund prices & distributions.
Liaising with External Fund Administrators.
Communication of completed tasks to asset and investment managers.
Reconciliation of cash and asset positions on Managed funds.
Identification of general improvements and assisting in their implementation.
Required Skills and experience:
Tertiary qualified, ideally in finance/accounting/economics/actuarial studies
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure zero rate of error
Prior experience reconciling financial data
Excellent communication skills and organisational skills
Self motivated and able to work effectively in fast paced environment
Previous experience in Funds Management preferred
