> Job Description:The purpose:
The purpose of the Specialist Operations Planner is to provide short and long term planning of production activities to enable maintenance and turnarounds to be completed on schedule while optimising plant stability and performance.
We are aiming for > 80% of production and maintenance work being completed to plan.
The role reports to the Whiteside Manager.
> Role responsibilities:
1. Strong technical and operational understanding and experience of the plant capability and line ups
2. Excellent analytical and planning skills
3. Demonstrated capacity to provide planning leadership and work effectively with a wide range of functional teams to achieve best results (safe, stable, reliable)
> Key Tasks:
1. Facilitating the integration of work in different areas (maintenance, production, contractors, technical etc) into a cohesive schedule
2. Lead the planning / scheduling / execution processes for critical major work (ie minor plant outages)
3. Production planning and forecasting, including identification of risks
4. Supporting the CCR team in the development of the shift schedule
5. Developing tools, systems and processes to standardise best planning practices
6. Producing and communicating KPI reports and presentations
7. Facilitating key decisions by advising senior management on options by engaging key stakeholders to develop clear paths forward to complex issues
