Downer EDi Mining's $3 billion Christmas Creek contract with Fortescue Metals Group is one of the largest mining services contracts of its type ever to be awarded in Australia. Our client is the third-largest iron ore producer in the country with an impressive ultra-class mining fleet.
To date this six (6) year contract has generated in excess of 750 direct employment opportunities with Downer EDi Mining at one of Western Australia's largest iron ore mines.
Located in the East Pilbara, Christmas Creek is truly a world class project which offers you the opportunity to work with cutting edge mining techniques and an extensive list of Caterpillar, Bucyrus and Liebherr equipment.
About You
• Hold a current Australian recognised trade certificate
• Demonstrated experience in maintaining and servicing drills at a similar capacity - (experience in operating Ingersoll R and DHM drills, Sandvik drills D90KS or larger, Bucyrus SKSW, SKSS16, 39R, 49R or 59R or Atlas Copco 9V351)
• Strong team player and solid communication skills
• Drive, enthusiasm and a passion to be the best in all that you do.
