Wealth Management Advice is comprised of a number of licensees focussed on providing quality financial advice to mass affluent Australians, supported by other business units including Licensee Services.
The Technical Services Manager is accountable for the delivery of specialist technical support to the WM Advice and CFS businesses and their customers on all technical matters relating to superannuation, retirement incomes, SMSFs, wealth accumulation, social security, aged care, insurance and associated taxation issues.
The purpose of this role is to provide high quality technical support to our customers in the form of phone calls, emails, written material and presentations.
Duties of the role:
To provide support to technical services analysts in providing answers to complex technical enquiries from advisers over the phone and via email
To research, write and signoff technical content for FirstTech, WM Advice and CFS publications, advice documents, internet sites, and adviser and investor calculators where relevant
To Develop and deliver technical presentations and training to advisers and other customers
To support the Senior Technical Services Manager in the delivery of specialist advice offerings to WM Advice licensees and their advisers
To maintain a high standard of technical knowledge, through ongoing research of primary legislative sources and education
To develop and promote expertise on the technical strategies/views developed by the technical services team
To provide technical assistance to internal stakeholders within WM Advice and CFS
To develop strong relationships with advisers and internal customers within WM Advice and CFS businesses
Ideally you will have the following requirements
A minimum five years' experience in a financial services, accounting/tax business or legal business
A degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Business or Law (highly desirable)
A higher degree in a related discipline (very well regarded)
RG146 compliant
A strong customer service ethic and proven customer service skills
Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers and stakeholders
Team player who is focussed on achievement of team priorities and goals but who can also work independently and unsupervised
The ability to collaborate effectively with others
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Can accept, incorporate and offer to others constructive feedback
Demonstrated initiative, knowing where and how to add value
Takes ownership, knows when and who to consult for assistance
Commitment to continuous learning and self-development
Adaptable, flexible and open to new ideas
Strong analysis, logic and research skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel skills
