Residential role in Dampier with a family friendly roster
Our port facilities consist of three shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading. Expansion works at Cape Lambert will underpin an expansion of our system capacity to 353 million tonnes per annum.
Reporting to the Shift Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for liaising with various departments for identifying defects and potential compliance issues whilst ensuring they are captured in Rio Tinto’s work management system.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Providing technical support and supervision regarding statutory compliance, legislative standards and classified plant
Assisting the engineering and other maintenance departments with ongoing statutory and classified plant maintenance issues
Managing the safety, quality and performance of team members against the defined key performance indicators
Supervising contractors in Contract Management System (CMS) for mechanical and electrical repairs
Managing key safety investigations, preparing reports, recommendations and implementing corrective actions
Fostering a culture of safety and safe work standards.
To be successful in this role, you will hold a Mechanical trade qualification along with demonstrated experience in maintenance field. Your strong organisational and communication skill with a desire for safety and continuous improvement will ensure your success in this role. Your knowledge of SAP, statutory regulations and CMS within the mining or industrial sector will be considered advantageous.
